There has been much speculation about a sequel to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Director Zoya Akhtar opens up about the rumours and reveals that she is contemplating one.
Director Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (2011) is still quite the favourite with many. Who could forget Farhan Akhtar's shayari, or the epic bromance between Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol? The film's story revolved three friends, who go on a bachelor's trip to Spain.
As it was quite popular, fans have been asking for a sequel. In an interview, Zoya admitted that she seriously contemplating to have a second film.
"I am dying to work with Hritik Roshan. I am really keen to work with him again so planning to make a sequel to Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. However, I will start working on this project only when I get a good script. Katrina Kaif, Farhan Akhtar, Kalki Koechlin and Hrithik Roshan, all four guys are very special to me. I really share a good bonding with them so I can't even think of making a sequel just for the sake of money," Zoya Akhtar told a news channel.
Meanwhile, Zoya's Gully Boy, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt has hit the screens and has opened to positive reviews. The film is touted to be a coming-of-age story, which is based on the lives of rappers in Mumbai. Ranveer plays Murad, a rapper from the slums of Mumbai, who wants to rise above his socio-economic status to become a star.
Despite being discouraged over and over again, he manages to take the underground rap scene by storm. The film is inspired by the life of underground rappers Divine and Naezy.
