Late Bollywood actor Kader Khan was among the 94 persons named for the Padma Shri honour by the government of India. The star, who is fondly remembered for his work, was bestowed with the honour posthumously for his contribution to the cinema. This proud moment for the family came almost a month after the actor’s demise, something many felt was “delayed.”
In a recent interview, his son, Sarfaraz Khan addressed this question and admitted that it would have been good if his dad was around to accept it, but reasoned that if God was happy with a person, he would find a way of giving him his due respect even though he was no more.Khan passed away in Canada on December 31, after a prolonged illness. He was 81.
